There are four competitive divisions which have cash awards where entrants will be judged on knowledge and performance as well as forklift soccer, basketball and bowling for fun.

Participants will have their forklift skills tested by competing in a precision driving course that will require them to navigate through a variety of forklift activities and their forklift knowledge will be challenged by a written multiple choice test.

James Ralphs, a forklift operator with London Drugs is returning for his sixth Rally, encourages others to participate as, Its a fun day where I enjoy testing my skills against others.  In the five past years, James has won three times.

The agenda for the day is:

  • 9:00am Competitor Sign-In (Competitors check in at sign-in table, confirm their division)

  • 9:30am Obstacle Course Competitor Orientation (Judges walk all competitors through the obstacle courses explaining the tasks).

  • 10:00am Competition Begins

  • 2:30pm Awards Ceremony (time approximate)

Family and friends are encouraged to attend the Rally to both see what the competition is about and to enjoy entertainment such as free food, bouncy castle for the kids, see the Forklift Rally Girls and view the latest in forklift technology.

John Gilder, CMHDSs General Manager, believes, This Rally demonstrates the high level of skill needed by these operators to assist their employers move goods in the fastest, safest way and it shows their families and friends what they do every day.
