Improv returns to UFV Sept 19

Released by UFV Theatre

FV Theatre is pleased to once again present the Vancouver TheatreSports League. The professional improv group makes a much-anticipated return visit to the UFV Performance Theatre at 45635 Yale Road, on Friday, September 19 at 7:30 pm.

The annual presentation is a popular event for the UFV community and the general public. This special presentation kicks off the University of the Fraser Valley theatre department’s season of theatre and offers a fun start to fall. Using audience suggestions, the professional improv performers create hilarious improvised situation comedy that often leaves audience members in stitches. Tickets are $20 regular and $15 for students and seniors.

Also available is a special TheatreSports workshop, taught by a professional improv artist at UFV’s Performance Theatre at 45635 Yale Road, on Friday, September 19 at 3:00pm. The workshop is open to members of the public at the amazing discounted price of $25.

Tickets to the evening performance are available here. Registration for the afternoon workshop is available by calling the UFV Theatre box office at 604.795.2814 or emailing here.

UFV Theatre’s 2014-15 season of theatre includes three main stage productions, Birdsong, A Christmas Carol, and Julius Caesar; an annual festival of short plays (the Directors’ Festival); and a special play reading of the hilarious comedy Berlin Blues. All UFV Theatre productions cultivate professional performance standards, and offer valuable opportunities for students to develop creative skills both onstage and behind the scenes.

Tickets are now on sale for UFV Theatre’s 2014/2015 season of theatre. Go to www.ufv.ca/theatre for more details.
