Emergency crews deal with an accident at Williams and Yale Rd while RCMP sort out what happened.

hilliwack RCMP, first responders and BCAS paramedics responded to a two-vehicle motor vehicle accident at around 11 a.m. on Thursday.

There were unconfirmed reports of head injuries to both drivers. Both vehicles slid off the road into a nearby hedge, knocking down a stop sign. Fire fighters de-energized both vehicles on the scene to prevent fires.

There is no word on the cause of the accident, or if distracted driving was a factor.

Then at around 12:30 p.m., police were called back to the intersection after reports of a minor fender bender there.

ICBC Crash maps indicate 21 motor vehicle accidents since 2008 at that intersection.
