Huskers play Kamloops in Prince George in 2011.

fter a tough season the Valley Huskers are hoping to finish with another win. With their first victory of the season behind them, the team is excited about the prospects of another win this weekend when they take on the Langley Rams at Exhibition Field on Saturday evening, October 4th.

After some heart breakers earlier in the year the Huskers beat Victoria’s Westshore Rebels by a score of 39 to 28 last weekend and feel they’re up to the challenge.

At half time the fans will enjoy a short scrimmage by two teams from the Chilliwack Minor Football Association. For this last game of the season the Huskers are demonstrating support for Breast Cancer Awareness and ask that all supporters wear something pink to the game this weekend.

“Many of the players will be headed home shortly and we’d like the grandstands full of our loyal supporters to give them a great Chilliwack send-off,” said President Jack Covey. “We are pleased that many of the players will be eligible to play with us again next year, so we’re sending them home in fine fashion with hopes that we’ll see them back next year at spring camp.”

Kickoff for the game will be at 7:00pm, so it will be held “under the lights,” and you’ll be seated “under the roof,” so come out and join in the excitement and show support for the Valley Huskers and the fight against Breast Cancer, it’s bound to be a fun evening.
