Pumpkin Tales!

Hayrides and fall family fun this weekend at Chilliwack Corn Maze

Submitted by Michelle Kim, CCM

he Chilliwack Corn Maze and Pumpkin Farm is ready to welcome in fall with some fun and food. We have loved our new partnership with the University of the Fraser Valley and have been excited to be part of their anniversary year.

Local and Beyond is a great celebration of learning in the Fraser Valley. We have had the opportunity to be part of the celebrations in Chilliwack and Abbotsford and on September 13th all our entry fees were donated to the scholarship and bursary funds of the University of the Fraser Valley. Now it is time to celebrate fall on the farm.

As this is the first weekend of fall, we want to start it off with some fun and food. We will have JRFM Radio Station on site from 11 am 1pm and will be offering food specials and free face painting for the kids. On Sunday we will be offering free hayrides to the pumpkin patch.

This year we have added a brand new sports zone (Barnyard Ball Zone) where you can test out your skills in basketball, football and baseball. We have also added an arena for people to play a new game that we are calling Friendly Fire. Friendly Fire is an arena that we have set up with paintball guns that have been retrofitted for soft nerf-balls. This is a safe and fun place to play with friends.

We are very proud to say that we are more than just a corn maze. The farm offers fieldtrips for all ages and activities that will keep the whole family entertained for hours. Along with all the fun activities we have also planted over 15 varieties of pumpkins, so many reasons to come celebrate fall and fun with us at The Chilliwack Corn Maze and Pumpkin Farm.
