Goodale named in letter from Vets and RCMP regarding super annuity

DAVE PALMER—VOICE FILE PHOTO

SUNDAY—

he Committee wishes to acknowledge the receipt of your letter dated August 1, 2018. Let me advise you that Mr. Doug Eyolfson, MP is not my member of Parliament.

Your statement: "I would like to thank you for your many years of service to Canadians. I simply did my job. The Liberal party and you need to say Thank you to our Spouses, Children and Grand Children for the free services they provided to Canada while we were serving our Country Canada. Many Spouse had their career interrupted and lost a great portion of their CPP benefits while supporting us serving our Country. Like the members of our Committee I served 38 years with 20.5 years of isolated operational requirements. Say thank you to our Children and grand Children for the lost of precious irreplaceable time they lost with us growing up."

Let us advise you that the content of your letter is viewed and considered to be disturbing, misleading and unfortunately it is identified by many Military/RCMP Veterans as the dictatorship of Liberal party policies.

You fail to identify the RCMP member who advised you that the RCMP pensioners are receiving the full pension to which they are entitled. You are encouraged to read our attached Campaign paper. In the Endorsement of the Campaign section you will find that Many Senior Military Officers and RCMP Officers have pronounced their support of our Campaign.

You fail to mention that prior to your amendment in 1965, in section 10 of the Act. The Government of Canada did promised Veterans during our enrolment contract that we would benefit of a full pension calculated at 2% of our best 6 years of service for a period of 25 years of service. Take notice that our contributions continue to be listed separately on our pay guide. The words Bridge Benefits is a myth. The Government of Canada has breached our engagement contract.

The billion of dollars surplus in the CFSA are considered to be a Sacred Trust Obligation to the Financial Welfare of Canada’s Forces personnel and their Families during their retirement Golden Years. Recorded in the 40th Parliament, 2nd Session, vote no. 67 identifies that the Prime Minister, you and the Liberal party have voted yes to terminate the Claw back to our Service Annuity on all our bills presented in the House of Commons. The Liberal party as voted yes on all our bills presented.

As the former Commissioner with the Canadian Pension and Appeal Board, I know that such initiative could be remedied by the Commissioner’s Executive with a simple White Paper, followed by a request to the Minister of Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) for the needed action and amendment to the Pension Act and its policies. End of Quote.

Thus far Veterans are seeing far too many Liberal broken promises. It appears that billion of dollars are available to spend on war criminal and foreign countries with little funds available to solve Veterans issues when we ask for no funds from the taxpayers.

Hon. Ralph Goodale the next move is yours. Do you really stand by and support Canada’s Military/RCMP Veterans and their Families? Today less than 30% of recruits re-signed for a second term. Shame! Shame! Lets change the attitude that the Government no longer cares about it most precious assess. Military/RCMP personnel and their Families.

" Kindness is a language the Deaf can hear & the Blind can see ! "
