Civic Elections

No Surprise Stam Seeking Re-election

Produces a lengthy list of issues to plug away at

Released by Chilliwack City Councillor Chuck Stam,

íll be making my way to Chilliwack City Hall tomorrow morning (Thursday) to submit my nomination papers as candidate for Councillor.

Serving the citizens of Chilliwack for the past 15 years has been an enormous honour with much accomplished with much more to go.

While we enjoy some of the lowest property tax rates in the lower mainland our needs and priorities list is large and we need a strong team of dedicated council members to work together to maintain balance and our enviable debt free status.

My 14 day campaign commencing November 1 and concluding the eve of the election on November 15th, will be focussed on things that matter in Chilliwack, Public Safety, Agriculture, Jobs, Transit and Transportation, Environment, Housing, Recreation, Culture, and Tourism to name a few.

I value and strongly support our relations with our First Nations neighbours and senior levels of government as they deliver the much needed services we depend on every day.

As always, Iím looking forward to our discussions, questions, debates and display of love for Chilliwack from our citizens and candidates in this election.
