Passengers scatter after vehicle reported to be carrying guns collides with police cruiser

A vehicle sits on Goodall Place after being hit by a police vehicle. Below, a female passenger was taken to hospital where it was determined she was uninjured.


n October 28, 2014, Chilliwack RCMP members were in the area of Portage Avenue and Goodall Place in Chilliwack, investigating a suspicious vehicle.

The suspect vehicle was being followed by police when it collided with another police vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled on foot and the two remaining occupants were arrested at that time.


With the assistance of the Lower Mainland Integrated Police Dog Services, attempts were made to locate the driver.


The collision resulted in damage to both the suspect vehicle and the police vehicle.


One occupant was taken to Chilliwack General Hospital for examination and was cleared of any injuries.


The two occupants of the vehicle have been released from police custody without charges.


Police are still looking for the driver of the vehicle.
