Attempted Armed Robbery at ATM

Knife allegedly used, man arrested

Police arrest a male suspected of attempted robbery early Friday morning.


woman was allegedly accosted at the TD Canada Trust ATM machine on Yale Rd by a man with a knife just after 4 AM Friday.


The victim refused to hand over any money and the suspect, who was described as being a Caucasian man in his 20's and accompanied by another woman, left the bank on foot without harming the victim.


A Griffon security guard was on the scene and called it in to police who quickly moved in, located the suspect, and arrested him in the 46100 block of Princess Ave.


It was reported that the knife was small with just 2"-long blade.
