he Canadian Junior Football League released the names of the “All Stars” at the annual conference held in Langford on Vancouver Island this past weekend. The “All Star Ring” is one of the most coveted awards presented by the CJFL to thirteen outstanding players from across Canada.

The Prairie Provinces captured 7 awards while BC players took 6 rings home with them. Congratulations are extended to one and all of the recipients but especially to Husker receiver Mike West who was named to the All Star Team in his first season with the Huskers.

Mike had an outstanding season accumulating 44 receptions, 693 yards and 6 touchdowns. #4 was also recently honored at the Huskers annual banquet at the Coast Hotel, he was named the most valuable player for the 2016 season. The fans at Exhibition Stadium were treated to some spectacular catches this past season which obviously didn’t go unnoticed by the rest of the Canadian conference.

Well done Mike!
