Free Movie Day

Veterans & current military personnel can see "Fury" free

s a thank you to all Canadian Armed Forces personnel and military veterans, Cineplex Entertainment is pleased to offer free admission* to Sony Pictures Entertainment’s feature film Fury all day tomorrow, Remembrance Day, November 11, 2014. Veterans and Canadian Armed Forces personnel who present proper military identification will receive free admission to the powerful David Ayer film starring Brad Pitt.

 

“Recent events that took place in Canada remind us of the importance of never forgetting the sacrifices our armed forces make to keep Canada free, strong and a vibrant democracy,” said Pat Marshall, Vice President Communications and Investor Relations, Cineplex Entertainment. “This is one way we can say thank you.”


Commenting on the announcement, Rory Bruer, president, Worldwide Distribution for Sony Pictures, said, “We think this is a great way to honor the members of our armed forces and veterans. We’ve heard from so many veterans that they feel Fury truly speaks to their experience in wartime, so, on a day when we all want to find ways to give back to the men and women who serve, we’re thrilled to be giving free admission to the film to veterans and active personnel tomorrow.”


April, 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.

 

Written and directed by David Ayer, the film is produced by Bill Block, David Ayer, Ethan Smith, and John Lesher. The executive producers are Brad Pitt, Sasha Shapiro, Anton Lessine, Alex Ott, and Ben Waisbren. The film, a Columbia Pictures presentation in association with QED International and LStar Capital, is a QED International / Le Grisbi Productions / Crave Films production.


*Valid military identification is required to obtain free admission to Fury.
