Arson Suspected

Officials seek info on fire at vacant house

Firefighters set up to attack a blaze officials say was deliberately set.

 

t 7:15 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, firefighters from Chilliwack fire halls 1 and 4 responded to a structure fire in the 9200-block of Woodbine Street.

 

When firefighters arrived they found a vacant, single storey family residential house with smoke showing. Firefighters confined and quickly extinguished the fire to the basement level of the house.

 

There were no civilian or firefighter injuries.

 

This fire was deliberately set and is under investigation by Chilliwack Fire Department and RCMP fire investigators.
