Massif concert featuring bands from around Canada and the US September 20-21

Expect the best in rock and roll at the Massif festivals May 25 and September 20-21 in Nelson, BC.

assif Music Festival Society (MMFS) will be hosting their fourth annual, specially curated rock, metal, indie, and punk music event on September 20 and 21 at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Lodge in downtown Nelson, BC.

In partnership with main event sponsor, Nelson Brewing Company, festival organizers have announced the incredibly talented space-rock group Boosh (Edmonton), the highly charged and critically acclaimed Summer Cannibals (Portland OR), and the legendary horror rock band - Forbidden Dimension (Calgary) as three of the events musical acts - with additional announcements of the eclectic line-up taking place on May 25 at "Petit Massif" - the Massif Music Festival Society's kick-off celebration with local bands at The Royal on Baker.

Tickets for “Petit Massif” are $10 and are available at the door. Tickets for the September event are on sale today and are available here.

The Massif Music Festival Society aims to bring underrepresented music to the Kootenay region through carefully curating the musical acts chosen to perform at the two day event.

Championing diversity within the underground music scene, the event openly supports female and non-binary artists, and gives local and aspiring artists the opportunity to perform.

Comprised of a volunteer board of directors, the Massif Music Festival Society is a non-profit music promotion society offering the only music event of its kind in the Kootenay region. The event is supported by local business sponsors and donations, and all profits are distributed to the performers.

Massif 2019 is presented by Nelson Brewing Company.
