At around 3:30 am Saturday, The City of Chilliwack Fire Department received reports of a playground structure fire at Emerald Park off Beverly Drive on Fairfield Island.

they found the niche park's centerpiece climbing structure fully ablaze and they
quickly brought it under control.
City crews were out at daylight cleaning up the debris and repairing the landscape as much as possible. Police taped the playground off.

and is under investigation by Chilliwack Fire Department and RCMP."
"There were no civilian or firefighter injuries," added Bourdon.
