Stó:lō Moon

Planting time in Chilliwack

Staff/ Voice photos

An orange glow can be seen coming from the top of the Stó:lō Long House with a full moon hanging over Chilliwack on Monday.

giant, red-eyed salmon jumps to swallow the moon. It's actually the moon as it was on Monday over the Stó:lō Long House at the Resource Center on Vedder Rd. in Chilliwack.

According to the Farmer's Almanac, the Full May moon is called the Full Flower Moon and a Corn Planting Moon signifying the last of the overnight frosts and temperatures warm enough to allow farmers to plant.
