Citrus-y Literacy storefront window at the Bookman on Wellington Ave.

he Book Man's Citrus-y Literacy fundraiser is back for its third year! We're helping raise funds for The Chilliwack Learning Community Society from now until June 5th.

Anyone can drop in at The Book Man to donate $2, $5, $10 or $20 towards the CLCS and write a personalized message on a lemon, lime or orange that will then go into our fabulous window display by our award-winning display designer, Sara Anthony!

All donations represented by citrus fruits will go towards vital literacy programs in Chilliwack.

The CLCS is an amazing organization that was founded in 1990 with the aim to “promote literacy for all groups and individuals”. They build relationships and partnerships to better meet the learning needs of all community members, to make possible the successful learning, development and growth of the individual, the family and the community.

Programs like Early Family Literacy, Youth Literacy, Adult Literacy, Workplace Essential Skills and Ladybug Book Bins all require funding to function throughout the year. Every penny donated helps sustain the essential services!
