To learn more about the application process, Chilliwack MLA John Martin is hosting a free BC Gaming Grants workshop with Ursula Cowland from the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch.

Two workshops will be held on Thursday, June 5 at the Hampton by Hilton Chilliwack Hotel (8050 Lickman Road). There are two sessions to choose from: 2:00pm to 3:30pm or 5:00pm to 6:30pm. Please RSVP via e-mail here.

The BC Community Gaming Grant program allows non-profit organizations to apply for provincial gaming revenues from the Ministry of Community, Sport and Cultural Development. Gaming grants are awarded in the categories of Sport, Public Safety, Arts and Culture, Environment and Human and Social Services.

In the 2012/13 fiscal year, the government distributed a total of $135 million in gaming grants for eligible community programs and services.
