Released by Lynne Preston, Chilliwack Symphony Orchestra Chorus

he Chilliwack Symphony Orchestra and Chorus invites all Dixieland Jazz enthusiasts and music lovers to take in the May 31 concert at the Chilliwack Alliance Church.

Bria Skonberg, as the featured guest, will be returning home to Chilliwack from New York City to spend the evening performing with the Chilliwack Symphony Orchestra.

Bria's start in trumpet studies began through the Chilliwack School District's music program when she was in grade seven.  She has never looked back since that time, having continued with trumpet and voice in high school here, and then later at Capilano College.  In addition to having toured the world as an award winning jazz artist, she now enjoys a flourishing career in New York where she has lived since 2010.

The  orchestra will entertain the audience with two very popular numbers: "Tico Tico" and "Sing, Sing, Sing".  Also included in the evening lineup are the Home Town Swing dancers and Belle Voci.

All in all, this entire performance promises to be nothing short of sensational.

Concert time is 7:30 p.m.

Tickets: $25 general admission, $15 students.

Advance ticket information through the Chilliwack Cultural Centre www.chilliwackculturalcentre.ca or by phone 604-391-SHOW (7469). Tickets will also be available the night of the show at the Chilliwack Alliance Church door.
