t was a rough start to the week on the roads around Chilliwack. Bright and early on Monday, emergency crews were called out to a rollover on Lickman Rd. at Progress Way.

Thankfully, the driver was uninjured and managed to scramble out of his overturned car. Just one vehicle was involved. It's not known how the accident happened which left the car inverted.

Just before noon, a man was driving reportedly at a high rate of speed on Peters Rd. at Hwy 1, slammed into a parked semi trailer flat deck. First responders were on-scene quickly. The driverís condition is not known.

A few minutes later, someone reported that a logging truck left the Lougheed Hwy at Mount Woodside and travelled 20-30í down an embankment trapping the driver. Kent Search and Rescue were immediately called for a rope rescue.

When emergency crews arrived, they reported just logs had gone over the embankment, however the driver remained trapped. Hydro wires were down and live which made the extraction more precarious.

Shortly after 3 P.M., first responders were called out to a single-vehicle rollover into the ditch from the eastbound lanes of Highway 1 near Peters Road. The accident left the driver in serious condition. Traffic control was set up while police worked with crews to clear the accident and get the injured driver to the hospital.
