BC teams head to nationals in Montreal March 12-16

he BC Aquasonics National Stream Synchronized Swimming teams head to Montreal, QC on March 9 to compete at Synchro Canada’s National Qualifier Championships at the Claude Robillard Sport Centre, March 12-16. Thirty-two Aquasonics athletes from the Lower Mainland will compete against over 600 athletes from across Canada.

 

“The 2014 BC Aquasonics are an incredibly talented group of athletes and coaches,” says Head Coach Susan Kemper. “We believe that the routines we have developed for 2014 are a step above our competition and really showcase our BC talent. We are ready to find out.”


The National Qualifier is the first national competition of 2014 for Canadian synchronized swimming and it is the largest competition of the year.

Wednesday March 12

12pm – 12:30pm 13-15 Combo


Thursday March 13

11:15 – 12:00 Senior Solo Tech
12:30 – 16:30 13-15 Solo


Friday March

14 8:30 – 11:00 13-15 Team Preliminaries
11:30-12:30 Senior Team Free Routine
13:00 – 15:00 Junior Team Preliminaries


Saturday March 15

13:00 – 15:00 Senior Solo Free
15:30 – 16:30 13-15 Team Finals (Top 10)
17:00 – 18:00 Junior Team Finals (Top 10)


Coaches
The BC Aquasonics are coached by the top high performance synchronized swimming coaches in British Columbia. Susan Kemper, ChPC is BC Aquasonics Head Coach, Senior National Stream Team Coach and Technical Director for Synchro BC. She is a former Team Canada Head Coach and athlete. In 2006, Susan became a fully certified NCCP Level 5 Coach making her the first coach in synchronized swimming with their Level 5 Certification. Originally from Coquitlam, she now lives in Langley.
