German Evangelical Church members spruced up the recently renovated courthouse.

he newly-formed German Evangelical Church has been working hard over the months renovating the old courthouse at Victoria Ave. and College St.

The task has been daunting due to recent vandalism where several windows were smashed and replaced.

A church member told The Voice on Saturday that someone had been shooting at the building with a pellet gun. So, they decided to hold off on replacing any more of the broken glass for the time being and concentrate on the finishing touches of the building's exterior.

On Saturday, members pulled together to do some landscaping with plants they purchased.

Broken glass still litters the ground on one side and so members say they'll have to put a load of top soil over it and then plant that side as well.

Once the work is complete, the church will begin using part of the building where their congregation will meet weekly.
