Ritchie Bros. make record sales in Chilliwack
A man inspects some of the large excavators at Ritchie Bros. auction last week.
crowd wasn't fazed in the least by the downpour on auction day. To them, the
rain just added some flavour.
From rock crushers and monster-sized excavators, to golf carts and minibikes,
whatever it was buyers had a hankering for, they would have found somewhere
in the sprawling yard on Industrial Way.
"Bidders came from 40 countries, including every Canadian province and
territory and 38 U.S. states. Approximately 25 per cent of the equipment was
sold to buyers outside of British Columbia, from as far away as Colombia,
New Zealand, Turkey, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates," said Malinski
adding that it was a new record for the company.
The next Chilliwack auction is scheduled for Wednesday, July 30th.
