The BAW program is educational, fun and interactive. The program is divided into age-appropriate safety lessons, intended for Pre-School to Grade 7.

Along with the education students are encouraged to submit poster on burn safety to the BC Professional Fire Fighters Burn Fund for the chance to win prizes and pizza for their class. This year Chilliwack had many winners with Lauren Boer a grade 4 student from Timothy Christian School a regional winner.

Chilliwack Fire Department attended Lauren’s school to present her with her prize and have some fun with her class. Fire fighter Wade Meeres and Greg Zutter spent some time discussing fire safety and showing Lauren’s class the fire truck.
