Cooking Up Fun
instructors for summer art programs

and Hannah Clark will be spending the summer working with kids in
CCAC's art programs.
summer we have three very talented and creative instructors, with
diverse areas of expertise, joining us to teach a variety of
fun-filled art programs throughout July and August:
Shand, our Program Facilitator, is currently studying Food,
Nutrition and Health at UBC. Hailey has crafted a fun and
educational line-up for our Crafty Chefs and Kids Cooking Club
Chelsea Lewicki is our Program Assistant, who is currently pursuing
a Bachelor in Visual Arts at UFV and hopes to achieve her Masters in
Art Therapy. Her arts background shines in our Kreative Kids art
program for ages 7-12.
Hannah Clark, our Program Counsellor, is currently entering her
final year of high school. She is energetic, eager to learn from her
crew members, and has experience working with young children.
Hannah’s enthusiasm for art and working with kids is a perfect fit
for our Crayon Crew program for ages 3-6.
Upcoming kids summer programs include:
Crayon Crew (Ages 3 - 6): Fun and creatively themed arts and
crafts classes. Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9 - 11am
Kreative Kidz (Ages 7 - 12): Challenging and fun arts and
crafts projects. Tuesdays & Thursdays, 1 - 3pm
Crafty Chefs (Ages 3 - 6): Workshops for kids who love to
be in the kitchen! Wednesdays, 9 - 11am
Kids Cooking Club (Ages 7 - 12): Kitchen safety,
measurements, recipes and more. Wednesdays, 1 - 3pm
Drama Camp with Nelly Fargeon (Ages 7 - 12): Kids will
learn about theatre arts, and put on a show for family and
friends! Sponsored in part by UFV Theatre. Monday – Friday, 10am
*Two camps available: July 21 – 25 and/or August 18 – 22
also have exciting adult and teen classes to offer this summer: A
Wire Coiling Workshop with jeweler Alicia Champ, Art in the Park
with local artist Judith Pickard, a special Beyond the Selfie
photography class for teens with photographer Angelika Young, Cold
Process Soap Making and Melt and Pour Soap Making with Executive
Director Patti Lawn, and two canning workshops (Jams and Jellies,
and Pickles) with cook extraordinaire, Dian Learn.
Classes run throughout the summer, beginning in July, and
