A view from the inside of one of the beautifully restored vehicles at the Angry Chef Diner's Customer Appreciation Day on Saturday.

t’s the little burger joint with the big menu on the corner of Young and Princess in Chilliwack. Where other businesses have failed at that location, the Angry Chef Diner has flourished proving to be popular with locals.

On Saturday, it was hot dogs and hot rods at The Angry Chef Customer Appreciation Day in the lot across the street from the diner. The event featured popular musical duo Whylie and the Other Guy and the Roadmen Car Club of Vancouver filled the lot with plenty of polished metal to check out. There were Salvation Army food collection bins on site as well.

Retro diners are making a comeback and in some cases so has the lingo. But if you went in to the Angry Chef and ordered a your hamburger done like a “hockey puck” and a bow wow with a side of spurs and a glass if city juice they may not know what you’re talking about.

The Angry Chef Delivers. Check out their menu at www.theangrychef.ca and call 604-39-ANGRY (392-6479) to place your order.
