Rider suffers minor injuries after collision with vehicle
A bicycle rider is attended to by Chilliwack Fire Department first responders at Kipp and Courbould on Tuesday.
driver had the misfortune of running into a moving cyclist at the intersection of Corbould and Kipp just after 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
The accident happened at a time of day when the sun was setting and directly in driver's eyes.
Luckily, the rider, who was wearing a helmet, appeared not to have been seriously injured.
First Responders and BC Ambulance paramedics were on the scene within minutes. The man was stabilized on the scene before being taken to Chilliwack General Hospital.
The driver remained on the scene and gave emergency crews a detailed description of what took place in the moments before the accident.
