World-renowned Jeff Lang brings his Hendrix-inspired Celtic to Bozzini's Feb 8
Emannuel Asprakis, Bozzini's Chilliwack
ur story begins with one man, Australian Jeff Lang, a van and a long road ahead of him. The dusty roads of Australia... hundreds of gigs in tiny backwater places in tiny backwater towns lead to thousands of gigs across the globe…gracing the stages of some of the most revered and respected venues and festivals worldwide.
Jeff returns to Canada in 2016 for a string of shows in support of his Canadian Digital EP, Running By The Rock, out on January 22, 2016. The album features 5 original songs and the traditional Scottish folk tune, The House Carpenter. For a sneak peek check out By Face Not Name. Lang will kick off the tour on January 29th in Prince George, BC (dates listed below).
A musical curiosity based in the roots of music; blues, world, and jazz, naturally lead to collaborations with some of the finest musicians in the world; Grammy award winning master kora player Mamadou Diabate, Chris Whitley (R.I.P.), Bob Brozman (R.I.P.), Tete, Bobby Singh - tabla virtuoso and Maru Tarang from Rajasthan.
Fifteen studio albums, three Aria Award wins and countless festival appearances from Glastonbury, Byron Bay Bluesfest, Ottawa Bluesfest, Fuji Rock to name a few. Lang’s work ethic is clearly someone in love with his art. This has led him to carve out his own mould in the world of music, something which is uniquely his own, a sound which is true and original, restlessly inventive and always surprising in the outcome. Be sure to catch him this winter when he brings his energetic live show to Canada!

“Jeff Lang is, in my humble opinion, a national treasure, a truly gifted songwriter and an outstanding guitarist. He has been inspiration to countless Australian and internationally renowned roots artists and surely has a place in history as one of this generation’s finest.
