Police arrest man wanted in knife incident

RCMP arrest a wanted man tracked down to a house on Charles St. on Sunday.

 

man who was avoiding police over a reported knife incident, was tracked down to a home on Charles and arrested at around 10 a.m. Sunday.

 

Mounties moved in and affected the arrest, however he resisted and the Police Dog Services K9 responded and the man was bit in the back of the leg.

 

BC Ambulance paramedics treated him on the scene before taking him to Chilliwack General Hospital for further checking.

 

Reports were that the suspect is facing resisting arrest, obstruction and possibly weapons charges.

It's not known if this was connected to the Husky Gas Station incident the night before on Saturday. RCMP had no comment on the incident.
