CFD looks to public for tips after suspicious blaze

Chilliwack firefighters assess the situation at a garage fire Saturday that they say was deliberately set.


n Saturday, January 17th, at approximately 6:20 p.m., the Chilliwack Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire located in the 46000-block of Princess Avenue. On arrival, fire crews saw fire from the front and west side of a detached garage.

 

The fire was quickly brought under control although the building did suffer fire and smoke damage.

 

Firefighters responded from Halls 1 and 4.There were no civilian or firefighter injuries.

 

This fire appears to be deliberately set and is under investigation by Chilliwack Fire Department and RCMP fire investigators.
