Pedestrian suffers minor injuries in rainy night accident

Staff/Voice photos

pedestrian tangled with a bus at Williams and Yale at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

First responders and paramedics were there very fast and able to get the victim onto a gurney and off to Chilliwack General Hospital within minutes.

It's unknown what happened, but in the dark and rain it's very difficult to see pedestrians, even with a professional driver behind the wheel. Additionally, the pedestrian here was in dark clothing.

Fortunately, the victim was not thrown under the bus and did not appear to be seriously injured.
