Attempted Robbery

Knife-wielding thug chased by store employee

A police dog searches for a suspect's track late Friday.

 

taff at the Husky service station in the 45900-block of Yale Rd. were confronted by a man with a knife around 11:30 p.m. on Friday.

 

No one was hurt in the incident and the suspect fled the store on foot.

 

There was a language barrier, so it wasn't clear at the outset if anything was taken or a robbery had occurred.

 

At that point, the employee got in his car and attempted to follow the suspect who was wearing a white hoodie with dark pants.

 

RCMP did what they could to try and locate the suspect and brought in a Police Dog Services K9 unit to try and get a track on the suspect. There was no word if Mounties were successful.
