nce again it is nearing time for our annual Ann Davis Bread and Roses Commemorative Event honouring local women who have contributed to making our community a much better place in which to live through volunteering.

We have planned a lovely luncheon at the Chartwell LynnWood Retirement Residence located at 9168 Corbould St. Chilliwack, BC on Friday, April 13th 2015 from 11:30am to 2:30pm. Registration will be from 11:15 to 11:45am with lunch served at 12:00pm.

Since 1991 the Ann Davis Transition Society has been honouring women from our community for their volunteer efforts. This celebration is a small effort on our part to say thank you to the women who are committed to furthering positive change in our community through their valuable time and efforts. This year we will be having a special guest speaker to be announced at the event, as well as a special memorial tribute for our event founder, Jean Scott.

We sincerely hope that your organization will submit the name of a deserving volunteer, so that she can be celebrated.

To submit an honoree, you will need to upload complete this pdf form and submit it to the Ann Davis Transition Society no later than March 14th. We will be honouring all of the women who have been nominated with a loaf of bread and a long-stemmed rose; symbols of our common need for both sustenance and beauty.

This year, for the second time, we will also be honoring a Woman Volunteer of the Year.

We expect this to be a wonderful afternoon full of fun and entertainment and look forward to your participation.

Tickets are $30.00 and will be limited. Tickets will be available until April 10th You can order by phone at 604-792-2760, by email here or at our office on 9046 Young Road. Tickets will not be available at the door.
