Fire Department investigates another mysterious blaze

The Chilliwack Fire Department Incident Command Chief examines a derelict garage as fire creeps through it. It's one of many intentionally set over the last several months.

 

n February 17th, at approximately 12:45 a.m., the Chilliwack Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire located in the 46000-block of Margaret Avenue. On arrival, fire crews saw fire from the west side of a detached garage.

 

The fire was quickly brought under control although the garage did suffer major fire damage.

 

Firefighters responded from Halls 1 and 4.There were no civilian or firefighter injuries.

 

This fire appears to be deliberately set and is under investigation by Chilliwack Fire Department and RCMP fire investigators.
