An Unsuccessful Robbery

Thief flees without cash, Mounties seek witnesses

A Chilliwack RCMP cruiser sits outside of Banners on Sunday after attempted robbery.

 

n Sunday, February 16, at approximately 4:45 p.m., Chilliwack RCMP responded to a robbery at Banners Restaurant on Main St.

 

An employee of the restaurant was working when an unknown male suspect entered the business and confronted the employee demanding money. 

 

The suspect brandished a weapon and fled the area on foot when told that police were being called and did not receive any money in the attempted robbery. Police are continuing their investigation into this crime.

 

The male suspect is described as:

in his 20's

slim build

approximately 56 tall

wearing a silver colored winter jacket with a fur lined hood and baggy blue jeans
