Tim Bohr (c), Salvation Army Food Bank accepts a cheque in the amount of $1,440 from Husker President Jack Covey (r) along with Leigh Yochlowitz Manager of the Save On Foods Downtown store. Walter Sussel photo.

he Valley Huskers would first like to thank all of the many sponsors who helped make this draw so successful as well as the Husker supporters who purchased the tickets.

Word got out there and Chances Casino, plus, Save On Foods Downtown were gracious enough to allow our sales team to sell the draw tickets at their establishments.

The results afford the club the ability to purchase some new equipment as well as cover some of the operational costs for this upcoming 2017 season.

The club was very pleased to make a donation of $1,440 to the Salvation Army’s Food Bank from the proceeds of the draw.

Congratulations are extended to Russ Borys of Chilliwack, winner of the first prize of meat, the freezer and $1000 worth of gift cards for Save On Foods. Congratulations also go to second prize winner of $250 prepaid Visa Cards, Ken Dillon of Chilliwack.

Special “Thank You’s” to “J-n-B” Appliances, Precision Building Design Associates and the Sache family all of Chilliwack for their valuable contributions.
