Chilliwack RCMP caught up with this wanted suspect on Nowell St. early Tuesday.

olice told the suspect to stop but he kept on running. So, they surrounded Nowell, Princess and Yale Rd. at around 1 a.m. Tuesday, and put the squeeze on until he popped out into their hands.

When someone runs from the police, it's a safe bet they're trying to hide something. The reason why this suspect was trying to avoid them became apparent as soon as they learned his name, which had warrants attached to it out of Surrey for his arrest.

The man did not put up a struggle while being handcuffed.

The suspect, whose skin is not impermeable to razor wire fencing, was likely cut while clambering around on it in his failed attempt to avoid RCMP, so, BC Ambulance Service was called to check him over before he was taken away to jail.
