Valley Huskers Football Club chalk up another win

 

 

Huskers slip by Okanagan Sun for the first time in the club's history on Saturday, August 18.

FRIDAY—

 

he Valley Huskers opened up the first quarter 14-0 and by half-time the score was 14-7 for the Chilliwack team.

Anthonty Dyck opened the scoring drive with a touchdown and Quarterback Julian Wytnick tossed a touchdown pass of 26 yards and ran one in from a yard out to take the first quarter lead.

Simon Winsnes intercepted the ball in the third quarter and ran it 50-yards for another Husker touchdown.

After a nail-biting second half, the score was 22-15. Then, with seconds left in the game, the Huskers had the ball deep in their zone and ran the clock down and gave the Okanagan Sun a safety to end the game with 18 points.

Final Score was 22-18.

The Valley Huskers are now tied for first place with the Vancouver Island Raiders. Next up: The Kamloops Blazers, 7 P.M., Sat. Sept 8 at Townsend Park.
