ust had to comment on Barry Neufeld's article of August 1, 2018. Well written and loved his short but to the point history lesson on his visit to the Czech Republic.
Barry's struggle against the School Board is truly heroic and it brings to mind the meaningful and so true poem by Rudyard Kipling's "If".
"If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it you..."
I am sure most people know how the poem goes but it is full of truth and is what Barry stands for in this struggle against the liberal "do-gooders" thinking on how we should make dangerous changes to the curriculum we teach our children.
There are many that I have talked to over time and it is sad and alarming that we are being criticized by these do-gooders for what our parents and grandparents struggled for in belief and giving their children the best possible education and carefully airing on the side of how young minds are taught.
Today, it seems like we only have people like Barry Neufeld and those that support him to stand their ground and protect how and what we teach our children and going back to Mr. Kipling poem: "If you can wait and not be tired by waiting or being lied about or being hated...you'll be a man my son".
