e've got an awesome project coming up on Friday, September 11, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity, and we're inviting you to join us, pitch in, and come along!

Habitat for Humanity has constructed a house for a local mom, and the landscape budget is at a bare minimum, so we've offered to design, install, and see what our partners can do to help out. Below is a materials list that we are looking for, and would need delivered or made available by Thursday, September 10, at 4pm, or before 8am on Friday as we have volunteers coming out ready to work with shovels and many hands!

Square footage: 5000 ft2
Site description: full sun for the most part, compact subsoil
Plants: low maintenance, drought resistance, hardy
Planting day: September 11, 8am - 4pm (Please feel free to join us if you can)

All items need to be received by: September 10, 4 P.M.

VPG will be making this Habitat for Humanity home even more beautiful September 11.

To donate, please contact me as listed above! Please make sure to make your invoices out to Habitat for Humanity to get a charitable donation receipt. Our other confirmed partners for this event include Home Depot, Rona, Wilway Lumber, and Valley Permaculture Guild. Many, many thanks for your part in our community.

Happy Rain All!
Please join us for the next Valley Permaculture Guild monthly gathering.

When: Tuesday, September 1, 5:30 -8:00 pm
Where: Lana's home, Abbotsford (please email for address)

VPG member, Lana will be hosting our September monthly gathering. We will
be wandering her "tricky" backyard and brainstorming design ideas. Feel
free to come with ideas or just feel free to watch the brainstorming. We
hope that everyone benefits from watching and hearing what other would do.

As with all our gatherings, we encourage you to bring a potluck item.
However, if you are unable to do so, we are happy to share our surplus.

And of course if you have surplus bring that for a swap, trade or share.
Seeds, seedlings, plants etc.

Hope to see you all there!
Locally Yours,
Rachel
