Party in the Park Returns
available for final two park bashes August 15 and 22
Released by Kyle Williams, DCBIA
Chilliwack BIA executive director Kyle
Williams and staff Heidi Bannerman at the Party in the Park.
Friday, August 15, Party in the Park returns from a 3 week break to finish
the summer off with back-to-back Parties. Thousands of people will be on the
streets of the Five Corners, Wellington and Mill Street area, and we are
hoping that local merchants will do their best to take advantage of the
The ultimate goal
of events such as this is to draw people into downtown and create an
experience for them so that they come back again. Not all businesses
will have the same measure of success in terms of evening sales, but
if local merchants can squeeze a handful of new customers from it,
then the Party has served its purpose.
If your business can offer visitors a good experience, even if you
cannot be open Friday night, they are much more likely to come back
and visit your store at a later date. Enhanced window displays or
creative signage / promotions can be very effective ways to promote
yourself to the people attending the Party.
If you are interested in getting even more promotion at the Party
itself, we still have exclusive opportunities for BIA merchants to
sponsor individual entertainment acts. Get some shout outs for your
business from the stage or even get up yourself to introduce the
band! We have $50 and $100 spots available for August 15 & 22, plus
both of our $250 headline acts on our big finale night!

Among others, the August 15 entertainment lineup includes Amanda
Thate, presented by Little Village Shoe Boutique, The Nikki Werner
Band, presented by Voila Lash Lounge, and our headline act The
Lounge Hounds, sponsored by Sticky's Candy Chilliwack Downtown. We
are still looking for a sponsor for our first featured act of the
If you want to be involved in a bigger way, we do have sponsorship
opportunities on some of our popular activities and table areas
(including a bouncy castle!) starting at $250 per night.
We also have our
Farmers Night "theme sponsorship" still available for August
15 for $500. Theme night sponsorship includes recognition
on a print advertisement, some love on social media, and lots of
call outs and opportunities from the stage. Contact
ME for more information about sponsorship opportunities.
Let's do our best to make the final downtown Parties of the summer
a great experience for everyone. Have fun!
