Funeral for a Friend

Service for shooting victim held under watchful eye of RCMP

Services for shooting victim on Thursday at Henderson.

 

CMP were stationed around the outside of Henderson's on Thursday for 38-year-old Richard Blackmon's funeral service.

 

Blackmon along with 36-year-old Tyler Belcourt died after being shot at the Hawthorne Manor apartment building in the 46100-block of Gore Ave. on August 7.

 

A third victim a woman who survived has not been identified by police citing safety concerns.

 

So far, a Canada-wide arrest warrant for suspect Aaron Douglas has not produced any results.

 

IHIT is asking anyone who was in the area of 46100-block of Gore Avenue in Chilliwack between 3:30 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. on August 7, 2014 who may have witnessed any suspicious persons or vehicles in this area or has witnessed anything in relation to this incident to please call the IHIT Tipline at 1-877-551-4448 by email here.
