Herron House Fire
Residents gone when early morning strikes

n August 24, 2014 at approximately 4:30 a.m. the Chilliwack Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire located in the 46000 block of Herron Street.
Firefighters responded from Halls 1 & 4. On arrival, fire crews reported seeing smoke from the rear of the building and from the roof structure of a single-storey residential home.
The fire was quickly brought under control although extensive damage to the underside of the roof structure was sustained. There were no occupants at home at the time of the fire. There were no firefighter injuries.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Chilliwack Fire Dept.
