Anthony von Mandl, Proprietor of Mission Hill Family Estate today announced that a second Tony Bennett concert has been added on Saturday, August 2nd due to overwhelming demand for tickets to see the legendary performer's first ever Okanagan appearance in the intimate setting of the winery's 1,000 seat outdoor Amphitheatre.

"We couldn't believe the demand for the concerts this year, people were literally clamouring to get tickets," states von Mandl. "We reached out to Mr. Bennett's management team to see if he was available for a second performance and I am thrilled that he has agreed to perform two concerts at Mission Hill Family Estate this summer which are currently the only dates he has scheduled to perform in Canada in 2014."

The line-up is confirmed and Mission Hill Family Estate is proud to announce the performers appearing this summer at the winery's spectacular outdoor Amphitheatre. The two live musical performances include a 17 time Grammy Award winning musical legend Tony Bennett on Friday August 1st, and the Gipsy Kings 25th Anniversary Tour on Sunday, August 24th.

Tickets for the 2014 performances in Mission Hill's intimate 1,000 seat Amphitheatre will go on sale Wednesday, April 30th and are expected to once again sell out quickly as these summer concerts become the hallmark of the summer in the Okanagan Valley.  The concerts at Mission Hill provide a unique opportunity to see these artists perform in one of Canada's premiere outdoor concert venues.

With the creation of the Amphitheatre, Proprietor Anthony von Mandl, a strong proponent of the arts, created a unique opportunity to enjoy live music performances in an unrivalled setting. Situated on a prominent hill rising above the Okanagan Valley with majestic mountains and a scenic lake creating the perfect backdrop, guests enjoy a gorgeous summer evening of music, wine and cuisine at a concert venue unlike any other.

Each year this spectacular venue attracts celebrated artists from around the world who are searching to engage with their fans on a more intimate level. Artist that have graced the stage at Mission Hill include: Chris Botti, Chris Isaak, Lyle Lovett, LeAnn Rimes and The Tenors, among others. For artists normally reserved for much larger venues the small capacity Amphitheatre provides a rare treat for those in attendance.

Gipsy Kings 25th Anniversary Tour - Sunday, August 24th
The Gipsy Kings have sold more than 14 million albums and will bring their vigorous guitar work and passion as they introduce fans to 'Rumba Gitano' - the sound of South America's rumba rhythm married to flamenco guitars. With the Gipsy Kings 25th anniversary tour the audience at Mission Hill will experience the platinum-selling artists for the second consecutive year in the spectacular setting of Mission Hill's open-air Amphitheatre. This concert literally sold out in days last year. As an added bonus, each ticket purchased for the Gipsy Kings performance will receive a FREE digital download of the new Grammy-award winning album, Savor Flamenco, celebrating their 25th year making music together! 

Concert Tickets & Experiential Package Options

Tickets are on sale Wednesday, April 30th at 10:00am. Mission Hill Family Estate is also offering several Experiential Packages to enable guests to enjoy an unforgettable evening of food, wine and song.

Package #1: Terrace Dinner & Concert
Includes reserved concert seating at the base of the amphitheatre and a 3-course pre-set seasonally inspired dining experience with wine pairings and breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Okanagan at the award-winning Terrace Restaurant. Dinner by advance reservation between 5:00-6:00pm. Available seating for the popular Dinner & Concert Packages is reserved for a maximum of 70 guests.

Package #2: Vineyard Dinner & Concert
New this year! The Vineyard Dinner & Concert package includes reserved concert seating in the first 2 rows of the amphitheatre bowl and a 3-course pre-set seasonally inspired dining experience with wine pairings at a long Harvest table in the vineyard over facing Okanagan Lake. Dinner begins at 5:00pm. This Package is limited to a maximum of 60 guests and is only available for the Tony Bennett Concert.

Package #3: Loggia Wine Lounge & Concert
Includes reserved concert seating at the base of the Amphitheatre and access to the winery's outdoor covered Loggia gallery adjacent to the Amphitheatre. Along with a reserved seat, guests will have exclusive access to the Loggia and be treated to wine service and hors d'oeuvres prior to the commencement of the concert. The Loggia Wine Lounge will begin at 6:00pm. This experiential package is available for a maximum of 75 guests.

Package #4: Reception & Concert
Includes reserved concert seating at the base of the amphitheatre and an elegant pre-concert reception in the winery's beautiful Visitor's Centre. Along with a reserved seat, guests will be treated to wine service and hors d'oeuvres prior to the concert. The Reception & Concert will begin at 6:00pm. Capacity for this popular pre-concert reception is limited to 100 guests.
