Police seek thug on bicycle after elderly woman's purse snatched

A woman is shaken and upset after her purse was stolen by a suspect on a bicycle.

 

man on a bicycle, rode by the A&W Restaurant on First Ave and snatched a woman's purse just after 7 p.m. on Sunday.

 

The woman wasn't injured, however she was very shaken up.

 

Police immediately fanned out in search of a Caucasian man riding a large frame red mountain bike. He is described as being tall and thin and last seen wearing a black hoodie with the word "Choppers" on the back.

 

Reports were the purse had a cell phone in it, however it was turned off and they could not get a location on it. The purse was not immediately found. More details as they become available later.
