Hunts begin this week at the Chilliwack Corn Maze

Released by Michelle Kim, CCM

hy did over a thousand people show up to the Chilliwack Corn Maze in under an hour last Easter Weekend?   To go get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny and for some family friendly fun.

This year there will be 2 days of fun planned for the kids with lots of candy, a variety of activities in addition to the egg hunt and mini donuts to share!

To start out the season we had offered a contest to the Chilliwack School District elementary schools for a free Easter egg hunt.  (They will be at the farm for their hunt on Thursday, April 17 @ 9am).

The students had to put together a small poster with the theme:  “Where does our food come from?”  This is to jump start our Spring on the Farm tours that we offer. We received an amazing poster from Cultus Lake Elementary by Madison & Courtney. We loved their poster and the thought they put into it.

"Thanks farmers for farming all the fruits, wheat, vegetables, and produce.  And even for taking care of the animals because it’s a tough job and someone has to do it!," said Michelle Kim in a release on Tuesday.

On Friday April 18 & Saturday April 19  from 10 am – 3 pm the Chilliwack Corn Maze will be a’hoppin place with many activities.

There will be plastic eggs hidden throughout the property and once the children get one of each color they will trade their eggs for an Easter Goodie Bag. There will be special golden eggs hidden throughout the day and if one of those eggs are found you will win one of many extra prizes.

The other activities that are included are:

• Face Painting
• Giant Jumping Pillow
• Pedal Cart Track
• Duck / Egg Races
• Animal Displays
• Giant Hay Bale MazeChildren must be accompanied by a parent - It is $8 per child (2 & over)
