he Chilliwack Chiefs are pleased to announce that 19-year-old forward Craig Puffer has committed to the Chiefs for the 2014-15 season.

The announcement comes after the New Canaan Connecticut native skated at the Chiefs Spring Camp this past weekend.

In 29 games at Berkshire School in Sheffield Massachusetts last season the 5’10 170 pound forward scored 16 goals and added 31 assists.

Puffer has also accepted a scholarship to the University of Vermont for the 2015-16 season.

“We are extremely happy that Craig has decided to play for the Chiefs prior to his NCAA days with the University of Vermont,” said Chiefs Head Coach and General Manager Jason Tatarnic. “Craig has excellent hands, vision and is sound defensively. Anytime you can add a player of Craig’s ability you have improved your hockey team”.

“I am excited and grateful to play for such a great organization,” said Puffer. “Coach Tatarnic is really bringing the Chiefs in a great direction, and I’m happy to be a part of his upcoming team. Chilliwack is an excellent place and I’m pumped to see that arena filled up with Chiefs fans I’ve heard so much about.”
