he Brick Games, also known as the Vancouver  LEGO Games have chosen Langley as the host city for their second annual event. On October 26th LEGO enthusiasts from throughout the province will congregate at the Langley Events Centre to build and fundraise for The LEGO Foundation and Love Global Foundation.

Hosted by Jelly Marketing, a local firm known for bringing fun to the Fraser Valley, The Brick Games are a surefire success. Regarded as the creativity behind The Greater Vancouver Zoo's new website launch and 'You Zoo' e-learning portal, as well as the network savvy behind the currently running Langley Passport wine tour. Jelly loves to celebrate their clients and share great things with the community. "We're proud to be bringing the Games home to Langley," says Jelly Marketing Principal and Fort Langley resident, Darian Kovacs.

After the 2012 event benefiting Canuck Place sold out two months in advance, the Vancouver LEGO Games were an instant success. "The 2013 Games are bigger and better than ever!" says Kovacs. Featuring a larger venue, more prizes and added entertainment -- The Brick Games are sure to bring the party home for local families and LEGO enthusiasts young and old.  "The turn out last year was amazing -- and we knew that this year, we had to go big!"

The Brick Games provides a one-of-a-kind LEGO experience for builders of all ages.  With six age divisions and two unique competitions, there is something for everyone. 'Ready, Set, Build' is a real-time building competition where constructors are given LEGO bricks, a theme, and one hour to create a unique model to  demonstrate that theme. 'My Own Creation' allows competitors to bring a unique creation (no exact sets) to showcase their LEGO building skills. Judges will choose a winner from each age category and award prizes accordingly.

What makes the Games even more remarkable is their mandate to give back. Proceeds from The Brick Games will benefit two foundations: LEGO and Love Global. The LEGO Foundation shares the LEGO Group's mission to inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow. Celebrating the value of play, the foundation works to empower and equip children to create a better future for themselves and their societies by embracing the value of play.

Love Global Foundation is a Langley-based charity providing storytelling and fundraising support to Christian missionaries around the world. In fact, Love Global currently provides their unique online platform to several missionaries from the Fraser Valley and Greater Vancouver Region serving locally and abroad.

Don't miss this fun, affordable, family-friendly event! Join us at The Brick Games on Saturday, October 26th from 1:00 - 5:00pm at the Langley Events Centre, 7888 200th Street in Langley.
