Weather likely plays part in accident
A pedestrian is taken to hospital by paramedics on Saturday.
ain was hammering Chilliwack. and visibility was at a minimum on Saturday at around 6:30 p.m. when a pedestrian was struck in the cross walk at the corner of Yale and Menzies.
An RCMP Police Dog Services unit secured the scene until BC Ambulance paramedics arrived shortly after.
It's not known how serious the pedestrian's injuries were. The driver of the small black car involved was apparently shaken up by the accident.
Pedestrians shouldn't assume drivers can see them, even when in a crosswalk. Please be careful in the poor weather and early darkness as we move into fall.
Daylight Saving Time ends and clocks go back an hour this year at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 3rd.
