urry - there’s just two weeks left to submit your best wildlife pictures to Wild ARC’s 4th annual Wildlife-In-Focus Photography Contest!
The contest, a fundraiser for the BC SPCA’s Wild Animal Rehabilitation Centre (Wild ARC), will be accepting digital photos submissions until Sept. 30 and is open to all adult (age 14 years and up) backyard and amateur photographers residing in B.C.
Wild ARC cares for more than 2,000 orphaned and injured wild animals a year.
“In addition to helping provide critical, compassionate care for wild animals in B.C., entrants are also eligible to win a variety of fabulous prizes,” says Sara Dubois, manager of wildlife services for the BC SPCA. Prizes to be won include a Velbon Sherpa Tripod (valued at $110) and two Aero 70 camera backpacks (valued at $70 each) care of Broadway Camera; Vortex 10x26 Vanquish binoculars (valued at $159) care of Wild Birds Unlimited; two subscriptions to Canadian Art Magazine; and six subscriptions to Canadian Geographic Magazine.
Prizes will be awarded for the top three photos in each of two categories including Wild Settings and Backyard Habitats. “This is a unique opportunity for all nature lovers and backyard photographers to win amazing prizes, showcase their photography skills and celebrate our province’s diversity of wildlife.”
