Fire Dept News
Have Two Escape Plans
CFD events for kids during Fire Prevention Week Oct 7 - 13
Released by CFD Chief Ian Josephson
ave 2 Ways Out is this year’s theme and the Chilliwack Fire Department would like families to focus on their home fire escape planning, especially identifying two ways out of every room.
We also want families to identify and eliminate any potential fire hazards in their home.
Seventy three (73%) of fires in Chilliwack occur in the home. We encourage everyone to be able to identify and prevent potential fire hazards and be prepared to safely evacuate your home if a fire does occur.
Fire prevention information and tips can be found on our website at www.chilliwack.com/fire or contact us at 604-792-8713.
Fire safety is everyone’s responsibility so let’s work together to continue to make Chilliwack a fire-safe community.
